The story of the bird
Georgia’s Brown Thrasher holds the largest song repertoire of any North American bird - more than 1,100 documented song types from a single individual. The state runs from Appalachian ridges to Atlantic barrier islands, and the Georgia Ornithological Society’s Checklist and Records Committee lists over 425 species recorded across that span.
This plate gathers the signature birds of Georgia onto a single sheet, drawn in the Audubon tradition of close observation and honest colour: Painted Bunting, Wood Stork, Red-cockaded Woodpecker, American Oystercatcher, Black Skimmer, Tricolored Heron, Little Blue Heron, and the Brown Thrasher.
The print

How to hang it
A composite plate wants room to breathe. Give it a pale wall, warm white or sage, and hang it at eye height where the palette can carry. A brown or gold moulding suits the cream ground; black or dark grey gives a more graphic edge. Keep it out of direct sun, which fades the colour over decades.
