The story of the bird
The Sun Conure (Aratinga solstitialis) is bright, cheerful and instantly giftable: a golden-yellow body, an orange-washed face, green wings and blue feather accents, all in one small, lively parrot. It is a bird of northeastern South America, now endangered in the wild, and here its yellow and orange plumage is softened into a refined natural-history treatment with clean space around the bird so the colour stays warm rather than noisy.
The plate shows the conure perched on a tropical branch, the golden body and orange face carried against a calm ground that lets the colour breathe. It is rendered in a contemporary Audubon-inspired natural-history style with a soft paper-grain finish. As colourful tropical decor it lifts a sunroom, a kitchen or a bright hallway, and it makes an easy, lively gift for a conure owner or a parrot lover, warm without ever looking childish. Paper and finish
Unframed prints come on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm, a heavyweight cotton rag with a soft matte surface and true archival life. The surface holds fine lines and subtle colour gradients without glare, which matters for Audubon-tradition work where the cream ground needs to read as paper, not as a white field. The framed option is set in a classic moulding, glazed and ready to hang, in black, white or natural.
Sizes
Available as archival fine-art prints in 8x10, 16x20, and 24x30 inches, with framed and unframed options where available.
