The story of the bird
The Burrowing Owl is the odd one out among owls: long-legged, active by day, and at home on the open ground of prairie and desert rather than up in a tree. This plate draws it in the Audubon tradition on a warm cream ground, standing tall and level-eyed, true to proportion.
It makes a bright, characterful owl print for a study, a sunroom or a child’s room, and a knowing gift for anyone who loves the birds of the open west.
