The story of the bird
The Pinyon Jay is soft, dusty blue from head to tail, a crestless, sociable jay of the pinyon-juniper woodlands of the American West. It moves in large, close-knit flocks, harvesting and caching pine nuts in a partnership with the pinyon pine that has shaped both bird and tree. As wall art it brings a quiet, muted blue to a calm, natural room, an understated collector’s piece and a warm gift for a birder or anyone who knows the high desert country. Rendered in a contemporary Audubon-inspired natural-history style with a soft paper-grain finish.
