The story of the bird
The Pyrrhuloxia, silver-grey with a red crest and mask, on a single Audubon-style plate. A distinctive gift for anyone with a home in the Southwest desert, and a fresh alternative to the more familiar cardinal print.
Its softer grey tones pair well with warm desert-toned decor.

About the bird
Sometimes called the desert cardinal, it shares its cousin’s crest and silhouette but wears soft grey plumage suited to its arid Southwestern range, with red confined to the face, crest, and edges of the wings and tail.
